Salvation Day -

CJ Lyons, New York Times and USA Today bestselling indie author of twenty-one novels announced the winners of the 2018 annual IndieReaderDiscovery Awards (IRDAs) at BookExpo America (BEA), a major trade show in New York City. Salvation Day by RD Meyer won in the Paranormal category.

IndieReader launched the IRDAs in order to help worthy indie authors get the attention of top indie professionals, with the goal of reaching more readers.  Noted Amy Edelman, founder of IR, “The books that won the IRDAs this year are not just great indie books; they are great books, period.  We hope that our efforts via the IRDAs insure that they receive attention from the people who matter most.  Potential readers.”

Judges for the awards included notable publishers, agents, publicists and bloggers. Salvation Day received was the following verdict by IndieReader’s reviewers: SALVATION DAY is an apocalyptic look at the world after Dr. Mike Faulkner, a theoretical mathematician, channels his grief over losing his daughter and wife into a desire to destroy God. This paranormal thriller delves into theology and psychology in a page-turner that goes into unexpected arenas. It’s an unusual take on the standard tenets of Christianity and the ending is a little precious, but it has plenty of struggles between good and evil in philosophical as well as physical terms.

RD Meyer said, “I’m thrilled to have won this award.  I hope others enjoy reading Salvation Day as much as I enjoyed writing it.”
