Howdy, and thanks for visiting my site. My name is Russell Dean Meyer, and I'm a brand new novelist. I currently live in Tennessee with my beautiful wife Sherry and my two daughters, Rachel and Amelia.
What did you think? I'd say that explains a great deal, and even though I was born in the 70s, my parents swear up and down that this had nothing to do with what they called me. Uh huh, I'm sure...
I'm originally from North Carolina, but the Army kept me moving around a lot(although, thankfully, I retired from the Army in August of 2019). Several years back, I met a wonderful woman who was crazy enough to marry me. We've been on the go ever since. I'm glad I found someone so loving and patient, and if I live to be 100, I'll never be that fortunate again.
I have very strong opinions on the writing world and the way I think things should be, so be warned. I have no problem saying what I think and why, and sometimes people interpret that as my not wanting other opinions. They'd be wrong. I love strong opinions, so bring them on, and please remember that this is just what I think. Have confidence in your own views on these things, because if we can't have fun writing, there are surely other adventures we'd be better off doing.
(My beautiful family)
Some of you might ask why I've decided to go with the name RD Meyer on my site and on the cover of my novels. Well, let's just say that someone else shares my name, and he's a little more famous than I am(for the moment). Google Russ Meyer and see what comes up. Go ahead - I'll wait. What did you think? (The love of my life)
I've wanted to be a writer since I can remember. My imagination was always running, and I'd daydream for hours about different worlds and fantastic scenarios. I started putting them on paper when I was nine, and I haven't looked back. Although I do something else full time now, if I ever reach a certain level of success where I can eat and put a roof over my family's head, I'll happily do this full time. If I could write for a living, my dream would come true.I have very strong opinions on the writing world and the way I think things should be, so be warned.
